    Nero Errors

wheni try to open a video file on nero, i get this:
"You are using a beta version of the encoder. Due to patent license restrictions, the MPEG2 encoding/converting is not available..."

the rest says i have to purchase the MPEG-2 codec plugin at the official website, which i cant really do.

Im tryin to make a VCD out of my video file, is there anyway around this? can i get any other burner software which will allow me to do this? i was able to do so with roxio easy CD creator but the quality of the disc was below unacceptable, it was extremely poor. I heard that nero is the best, so please someone hlp.

    thanks.

there is no way around it, you must buy the mpeg-2 plugin to convert to dvd/svcd/vcd with nero.

you could convert the video with with 'tmpgenc', using the svcd template, and then burn with nero
