movie to ipod format using pc

Does anyone know what program I can use to convert my movies (avi mpeg divx etc) to play on my ipod? I saw a few site with guides using quicktime but they were all guides for mac.

I'm looking for something I can use on my pc, if it exsists, because obviously I don't have a mac.
