ASP (Advanced Simple Profile)

Apologies first off if I've posted incorrectly....

my question is this...

is it possible to download/save & view a file in the ASP format
that is available on a site or is this format supposed to render
that option useless?

I'm asking on behalf of a friend...I was unable to give him any answer
whatsoever because I hadn't come across this format.

any help would be very much appreciated.
