DVD Burning in US for Playback in UK

I would like to purchase one of the Standalone DVD Recorders (Non PC)
to burn DVD's of Soa Opera shows here in teh US to send to my daughter who just moved to the UK. What are the issue I face regarding recording in NTSC and playing back i some compatable device in The UK. Do I need an NTSC playback machine in the UK? Can it be connected to A PAL TV or does it have to be NTSC??

Don't know if you have a problem with your PC - but you posted the same thread 4 times.

The other 3 threads are deleted.

the simplest method if possible is to have a player your daughter can read both formats.
