I am looking for a free file repair program.

I am looking for a software program similar to video-fix, but a free ware version,
capable of repairing damaged video files in as many formats as possible.
most programs of this type only offer a temporary trial verson where there
is limited functionality, and once expired can't be reloaded.
Does anyone know of a good one that I can install?

'divfix' for avi's, and 'virtualdubmod' for mpegs

actually, most file types don't even need 'fixing', you just play them in 'media player classic', it will usually play what is there...

Or VLC Media Player. Very nice thing is, say you are downloading a file through BitTorrent or something, it will actually play the file AS IT IS BEING DOWNLOADED.
