    Help with Nero 6

    Hi all

I have been using Nero 6 for quite a while. When i was using fuji DVD+Rs I would occasionally get an error with a bad burn (even though the disc was fully burned and played fine??) usually with the message failed to close DAO.

Well anyhow I switched DVD+Rs to Verbatim. I have burned many DVDs since with no errors, suddenly the last few days I've had 3 bad burns with the following error log, if anyone can help I would appreciated this.
What makes it extra annoying is that the errors only happens at the end of the burn, so i get to wait a full 15 min to find out if the DVD is any good. ERRR......

Now keep in mind I've used the below settings for all of the successful burns I have made and only recently with the verbatims ahve i been recieving bad burns; however I recieved them (the errors) more often in the past when using FUJI DVD+Rs (not all the time but I was never 100% cofident when I burned a DVD that it would come out OK)

    STATS: Win XP SP2, 512 MB RAM 400MHz, P4 HT 2.6GHz.
NEC 1100 DVD+R flashed (herrie mod firmware) to a NEC 1300 +/-DVD 4x max burn speed

congrats on finding that crossflash, it's gone as far as I know now.
still so old the media codes are out of date

      what??

      how do i fix this
why all of a sudden is this causing problems?

Also i just re-burned the DVD and it said it was successful, THEN it started verifying the data?? (i didn't have that checked)
so i stopped it and it said the burn failed (although i think that just refers to the verification)

      what do i do?
here is the log from the second burn

Sounds like you either have a bad batch of media, or the burner's finally on it's last legs. See how it goes.

          Look at **037200 here.

You should only use genuine Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden media. Many thanks to www.pcx.com.au for their supply and great service.

I went to the link you suggested and looked up my error which is
            Session fixation error writing lead-out
it claims that either the disc is dirty/ scratch etc or DMA settings
I checked my DMA settings here is what ihave is this correct?

            Primary Device:
Device 0: Auto Detection, DMA if avaliable, Ultra DMA Mode 5
Device 1: Auto Detection, DMA if avaliable, Not Applicable

            Secondary Device:
Device 0: Auto Detection, DMA if avaliable, Ultra DMA Mode 2
Device 1: Auto Detection, DMA if avaliable, Ultra DMA Mode 2

is this ok? if not what and how do i change it? (these are the same settings I have always used though)
