    Default Problems with Nero

I've been using Nero for quite some time and have never had any problems. When I try to burn now I keep getting an error. It works fine with DVD+RW, but not a DVD+R. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks.

Here is the history log. Unfortunately it's too long so I had to split it into 2 posts. Thanks for the help.

Read and implement the Golden Rules of Burning.

    In particular, update Ner0

    File 'IoSubSys\SCSI1HLP.VXD': Ver=4.90.3000, size=19278 bytes, created 6/8/2000 5:00:00 PM

    File 'IoSubsys\CDR4VSD.VXD': Ver=5.3.2.31, size=101616 bytes, created 11/28/2002 7:19:18 AM

    File 'IoSubsys\CDRALVSD.VXD': Ver=5.3.2.31, size=20043 bytes, created 11/28/2002 7:19:18 AM

    File 'IoSubsys\ACBHLPR.VXD': Ver=1.01, size=40508 bytes, created 11/28/2002 7:19:18 AM
These are known conflicts with Ner0 - see ftp://ftp6.nero.com/Support_doc/PDFL...roLogFile2.pdf

    Default No such luck

I tried updating Nero, changing some files accorinding to known conflicts, and I always use the burning rules, but I haven't had any luck. It just keeps giving me an error about 5 or 6% complete. Any other ideas. Thanks.

    Physical memory : 62MB (63884kB)
    Free physical memory: 0MB (0kB)
    Memory in use : 100 %
what else is running on the pc? i'm suprised you can burn any disc. it's the same on the first log too. you should have at least 20 MB free memory when burning. you got nothing.

and those drivers like blue said are indeed troublesome.

Nothing else running. Any other ideas as far as the drivers are concerned? Like I said, no problems until a couple of days ago.

Not sure it is - see the top of his log? - he's running W98 (ME). Can ME sys restore?

I'd uninstall all those drivers for one.

    Regards

Thank you everyone for all of your help. Usually I don't have to post with all of the good information provided in this forum, but I figured it wouldn't hurt. Anyway, I believe my burner is toast and will purchase a new one. As for the lack of memory I am baffled. PC running great. Thanks again.
