    Problems with Nero

I've been using Nero for quite some time and have never had any problems. When I try to burn now I keep getting an error. It works fine with DVD+RW, but not a DVD+R. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks.

Read and implement the Golden Rules of Burning.

          In particular, update Ner0

            No such luck

I tried updating Nero, changing some files accorinding to known conflicts, and I always use the burning rules, but I haven't had any luck. It just keeps giving me an error about 5 or 6% complete. Any other ideas. Thanks.

what else is running on the pc? i'm suprised you can burn any disc. it's the same on the first log too. you should have at least 20 MB free memory when burning. you got nothing.

and those drivers like blue said are indeed troublesome.

Nothing else running. Any other ideas as far as the drivers are concerned? Like I said, no problems until a couple of days ago.

Not sure it is - see the top of his log? - he's running W98 (ME). Can ME sys restore?

I'd uninstall all those drivers for one.

                          Regards

yeah, i saw that and i'm not sure about ME and restore. i wonder if these drivers were there before when things were ok. something is suckin the livin daylights out of the memory.

EDIT: should be able to restore

                            Q. Which versions of Windows features System Restore?

                            A. System Restore is available in Microsoft® Windows® Millennium (Me) and the Microsoft Windows XP (Home and Professional) operating systems. However, this FAQ addresses questions and issues with System Restore in Windows XP only.

Thank you everyone for all of your help. Usually I don't have to post with all of the good information provided in this forum, but I figured it wouldn't hurt. Anyway, I believe my burner is toast and will purchase a new one. As for the lack of memory I am baffled. PC running great. Thanks again.
