ok, I read your other posts in shrink forum, let's back up a little.
    you added a plextor burner?

dma won't change, so it might be jumpered or hooked up wrong?
Make sure the burner is at the end of the cable, jumpered for master,
    on the secondary ide?

dma 5 is for hard drives

are there any serial devices involved? plex burner?
    hard drives?

      dmb driver / slow encoding

My burner has been working fine, it was burning at speeds of 8,000 kbs, and now it dropped to 2,500 due to dma changing to pio instead of the dam 5. When I reboot it does change back it is still says pio!

        do you have nero?
I need to see a nero info tool post.
        get it here
Nero Platinum - 7 programmes en une suite ! ✓ Montage vidéo ✓ Streaming ✓ Sécurité des données ✓ Conversion ✓ Gravure ✓ Radio mondiale ► Plus d'informations

        run the tool
at the top is an icon for a floppy, that pulls up a report,
        just have configuration checked
