With a software like Pinnacle Studio should be very easy to do this.

It should be able to import all DV video, elaborate this (create menus, adding chapters, and so on), and finally convert all in vob (aka DVD) format.

But first get sure about the format of ur original clip.Use GSpot for this.Pinnacle & other video editors do not accept ALL formats.

well let me tell you all. i have taken some video clips (10-20 secs each) of my son from my digital camera which i have copied on to my system and i have combined those many clips into 1 file using Windows movie maker (file format is Windows media audio/video)...now what i would like to do is make a DVD out of this...so i will need to convert the WMA file into VOB file (is it ?). i tried making a VCD using nero 6 but i think the frame rate is slow...its more like slide show....hope i am clear now...

              thks for help

because the video is now a wmv file, i'm afraid your dvd conversion options are very limited.

according to this guide, however, tmpgenc can do it (i'd test it myself, but i don't have any wmv files to test it with ) http://www.videohelp.com/tmpgencdvd.htm

another thing...while joining the video clips through win movie maker i did come acroass some options for out put like pal 4:6 and some others...maybe if i change this option it might make it easier for some program to convert to VOB format...

anonymez is right. tmpgenc will/should encode wmv files.

                          Hi alykhalil,

just tried that but the output file was nero showtime file (dont know its VOB or what) and tried to burn it with nero, option burn dvd video files and it said...No compatible file format
Since you allowed Nero ShowTime to be the default player of your media files, that why your .mpg file shows the Nero ShowTime icon. If my understanding is correct, you encoded your file into mpg with TMPGEnc. You can't burn DVD directly from that file witn Nero. You need to author DVD your file with the TMPGEnc DVD Author and then burn it with Nero afetr that

                          Regards
