    Shaky Video after Conversion

Well i have some avi files compressed in xvid and media player/winamp shows the video as constantly shaking back and forth. Well this is not a problem since my VideoLAN plays them perfectly. But recently i have decided to record this files on a dvd and converted them to DVD, VCD and SVCD format and the video is still shaky for all of them. Even more intresting is in dvd/vcd/svcd format the video is even shaky on my VideoLAN player now. All help would be appreciated. So i was wondering why is this, can it be fixed, will it be shaky on my dvd player?

    Thank you for your time.

sounds like the vfw codec is the issue here. the problem is not apparent in videolan as it uses its own codecs/filters.

here's what i want you to do: open the file in 'media player classic'. while playing, right-click the video, and select 'filters'. list here all the filters/codecs shown.
