    One thing that I find very interesting in RAM media is that can be formatted in FAT32.

    If I get a LG drive I'll try it

            Why when i select 8x to to burn with img burn it still only burns at 4x? Its even in the log that it bured at 8x but it was only burning at 4x

              Burning speed are written on firmware. If firmware don't allow to burn above 4x, then it will be written above 4x.

              With benq 1640 (the same hardware od plextor 740) it's possible to do overspeed, i.e. to burn at a speed superior to certified speed of the disc.

                it's probably a firmware issue!
                sure was awful fast, the plex I mean! or benq!
                see the benq thread at cdfreaks and join the sportmen hunting those mythical
                perfect burns in 5 1/2 minutes

                  verbatim, Im able to select different burning speeds with nero I also tryed to do a scan with nero and it dont work. [disc quality]
                  PS sorry i just realized im off topic, it burns thats good enough for me.

                    Try at 12x and see if it burns at 8x.

                        Thanks Chewy , i just couldnt wait , those empty drive slots were buggin me, i dont no why i picked the plextor, im just used to buying stuff from tiger direct thats all.

                            Its working. Selected 12x burning at 8x. Whats MMC?
                            I have some disc rated for 8x only ill have to try and see if i can select 12 x with them also.
