    mpg to vcd

    Dear all..

How I convert mpg files in my laptop and burn them into vcd ?

Those mpg files I have used ISObuster to extract from my vcd the other time.

    Thanks

Load them in TMPGEnc and use the wizard to make a VCD out of them.

for the love of god don't use nero for encoding, it's enough it's a VCD. tmpgenc is free and will produce a quality mpeg-1 without audio sync issues.

no need to be sorry, here's one of about a million places to get it.
            TMPGEnc,DVD Author,tmpg,mpg,mpeg,encoder,TMPG,tmpgenc,Pegasys,TSUNAMI,authoring,digital,video,DVD-Video,AVI,converter,convert,movie,movies

when the trial expires you will still be able to convert mpeg-1.

it can be called tmpgenc free, or tmpgenc plus. dvd author isn't what you need.

this is for DVD but it essentially the same. you don't worry about bitrate and use the VCD wizard instead of the dvd one as used in the guide.

Thanks I will follow the intructions on this guide. But utimately I still have to use Nero to burn the encoded mpg to vcd rt ? I am in the process of encoding now..

that's right. you will get an ".mpg" file from tmpgenc when it's done. then play it back to make sure it's good (smooth, audio sync etc.)

open nero i use nero express myself, you want to create a "video cd" just add that .mpg file you made with tmpgenc to nero and burn it. i suggest burning no faster than 12x on a cd-r, especially cheap discs.
