    DVD-R lead-out question

I had a problem with my old DVD burner. It kept failing but actualy completed a lead-out at the end. So I have about 10 DVD-R which all have this lead-out on them. No data is burnt on them becuase it failed at 0%. I was wondering if there is some way to use them again. If its only for data?
I have tried to just burn to them but it says please insert burnable media. etc...

    Thanks,

    Sam

I mean to re-use them with a different burner (I found out the DVD-Rs were not compatible with my old one) Any more suggestions?
