DVD Shrink not working with 16x dvds

I dont know if anyone can help. DVD shrink was burning everything fine until I started on a new stack of dvds. I went from 8x to 16x which my drive can handle. Usually I use decrypter then shrink. But shrink isnt working with th 16x now. I did try one with nero recode and it worked fine. Could someone help. I am just use to using shrink.

Heres the message I get when it has an error

Question - Can your burner do a successful burn at 4X? The Media ID should be good (RICOHJPN) being rated 2nd class with 80% to 95% success rate so I doubt that's your issue. There is a golden rule that says you should never burn faster than 4X though. So try that speed and post your results.

i agree. blutach calls that "category 5 hurricane speed (bloody ridiculous)". it's sounds like you might have nero automated by shrink. i'd turn that off and burn with nero manually like 4x as cambion mentioned above.

I would add to check the manufacturers website for any updates to the firmware. Sense Key: 0x03 (KEY_MEDIUM_ERROR) This could be indicating that the drive does not like this new media.

Your burner is a rebadged BTC drive, an I/O Magic right? That is the same drive that I used to use and firmware is more than current, as it is not even listed on RPC1.

Have you checked any these discs that you have burned at 16X?There is some good advice up above 2X or 4X no matter what the discs say.Did you have the booktype set for +R when you didn't use Nero?

the way you're doing it now is what i many others do--manual burns with nero. shrink now has no control on activating burn software. when you find a media/system that works--change nothing--until problems arise.

That media code is very iffy now since it's made by ritek in tawain.
What brand are they? And your burner is not considered to be one
of the best either. Some good sony or fuji(made in japan) might be better,
especially 8x ones. Try turning off some programs before your next burn attempt.
