I tried downloading the nero version and it asked for serial #. I thought it was free? What serial # do I use?

It is not free, you have to pay for it. Do you have any Nero on your computer right now?

Edit: damn I got to be faster.

this is an update for nero burning rom version 6.xxxxxxxx

it also will update the nero express that come with many dvd burners

if it asks for a serial number you don't qualify

after several upgrades or enough time expect nero to get corrupt, or when
downgrading from buggy higher versions like 6.6.1.4, you might need to run the clean tool. If you have an original oem cd(express) just install then apply the upgrade.

                  Nero burning ISO IMAGE

Need some idea. I just discovered that nero can burn the ISO files created by DVD-R,PgcEdit or ImgTool Classic. Is it a good mode for burning ISO Image or not. I need feedback from the experts.

You guys at this forum ROCKS!!!!!!!

                      Hi,

I also have had to roll back my nero version to 6.6.0.18 because of burn problems with DVD Shrink, and now I get this error message when I click on the update button in nero. Does anyone have any ideas?

                      Thanks

                      John

                        welcome to the forum,
It's better to uninstall nero and run the clean tool. I never use smart start.
Use your orignal cd to install and then upgrade, or if you have a serial number just install straight to 6.6.0.18

My mistake, perhaps it was not your 8000, cause further up the list it also said 8000,
