DVD authoring package that supports ac3

Speedripper usually gives you a .AC3 audio image which you can then convert to .WAV

But if you do that don't you lose the 5.1 channel audio and at the same time the .WAV is larger so you lose space on the DVD.

So what packages support 5.1 AC3 importing?

SpruceUp supports two channel AC3 only, not 5.1

          READ CAREFULLY

Who said that SpruceUP doesn't support AC3 5.1?
          Read from SpruceUP manual:

          SpruceUp Supported Audio Formats
Following is a list of SpruceUp supported audio file types:

          • MPEG-1 Layer 2 audio (.m1a, .mpa, or .abs) with bit-rates of 64kbps to 384kbps; 192 kbps and 224 kbps are typical.

          • Dolby Digital (AC-3) audio (.ac3 — mono up to six channels) with bit-rates of 64kbps to 448kbps; 192 kbps 224kbps and 448 kbps (for 5.1) are typical.

          • WAV audio (.wav — Windows uncompressed PCM audio; the most common Windows audio format), 16 bit 48Khz only.

          • PCM audio (.pcm — “raw” pulse code modulation audio; similar to WAV, but without “header” and other file information), 16 bit 48Khz only.

          • AIFF audio (.aif — Audio Interchange File Format uncompressed PCM audio; the most common Macintosh audio format), 16 bit 48Khz only.
