My pioneer got a little flakey after just 100 or so burns, what really made me
sick, was the price dropped 75$ in 6 months. Todays cheaper burners are
burning hundreds of disks for a fraction of the price.

I have one plex 716A never have time, to test, burn is so so not so good and not so bad, rip is slower then nec, not better then LG when ripping bad disc, so I put it in a shelve, I hope when winter come and slowing down on my job I will look at it again

I never have time to check their scanning funtion, it take very long time, only if I have another comp. I would check it

Yeah, that is a nice burn. What was your burn speed?

when creating a data disk, cdspeed makes a graph of the burn, it's the
white line with sharp dips in the top half, the benq AFAIK has no overspeeding
in it's firmware, so burn speed is limited to rated speed for G02's(8X).

Ahhh. I was curious about that white line, thanks for the explanation! I don't recall ever testing the quality of a data burn, just my dvd backups, something new to play with, LOL.

benq should be master on primary ide and nec master on secondary,
not what you asked but that's life, why?
COF at 12x of good disks
