Default You pick of Media from this source :)

    Howdy All,

Looking for the best bang for the buck from this website. Being from Canada I've found it's the best that I've bought from yet so here's the Q. What would you pick from the hub printable media below 16X. I've been having trouble with my sony DRX-800UL 16X burner skipping and freezing so I'm still just using my old dino DRU-510A so I can only burn at 4X, but I'd like to at least get 8X discs in case I get the new burner performing without freezing.

    Thanks in advance,

    Cheers,
    Max

Those are canadian $$$ so it would be more than USD site. If someone knows a canadian site with comprable media for less I'd like to know. In my experience ordering from the US is more expensive once the currency conversion and shipping are added. If I'm mistaken please advise. I can get DVD-R 8X TAIYO YUDEN WHITE INKJET HUB PRINTABLE (100 PCS) — ($56.95) so the whole thing for shipping and tax works out to 0.72/disc Cdn or 0.64/disc USD. Don't know whether that's out of line, but ritek ridata IJ printable work out to 0.66 cdn from Shop4tech with shipping and tax included. A little better deal, but I don't think the media is quite as good either.

    Cheers,
    Max

there are hardly any 4x left anywhere, I have heard of 4x printable, but AFAIK TY quit making 4x some time ago, they have made a lot of 8x recently.

Chewy, those are the same discs for $67.08 that I posted above for $56.95. I do hope they take print well...... The batch of Riteks I had took the print very nicely, but the report I read on printing quality for these TY's isn't great........
