Thanks. It is just the plus media that I have problems with. Guess I just need to stick to dash media. I have just been determined to make the plus media work.

        Nice.

Awesome burn VirgUSA. I would stick with the minus media too. I use my NEC 3550 to burn the plus and my LG4163 to burn the minuses.

Is 84 enough?? Tough call. I aim for perfect but that will never happen to me!

84 will probably play with no problem except for a pixelization or two once or twice through a movie. I use to decrypt my movies at max speed. After this post, I thought if the reader is making that many errors at 16X compare to 8X, then slower is better. I thinks my next rips will be done at 4X. Remember GIGO!!! Garbage In = Garbage Out

That is so true! I had a home video with the crappiest quality ( digital camera .mov files converted to DVD) and burned them to a Verbatim and scanned them and got a score of 97 or 98%. I also scanned an extremely crisp quality video of a movie on those same Verbs and got a score which was less than 95% ?????

But as far as quality of the image, there is absolutely no comparison.
Scanning for video quality is almost an oxymoron statement!!
