    Violation against DVD specification detected

I have use Nero to burn movies UNDER 4.7gb for about the last 2+ years. I get the "DVD-Video files reallocation failed" dialog box and have selected "Ignore and Continue", the DVD's play on my softplayer and my standalones. I get this error on about 20% of the >4.7gb movies.

See attached for the Nero settings. What is the root cause of the error ?

PS: Currently using Nero 7 but this also occured on Nero 6 as well !

Get rid of InCD. You know better.

As far as the Nero error message, I've never seen that one before.

jmet .... THX .. for the update on the firm, will get, also I recently reinstalled Nero and forgot to DELETE/RENAME the InCDfs.SYS

But neither of those are related to the "DVD-Video files reallocation failed".

Gary .... THX ... for the link .... but that as well will not cure the issue, as mentioned I got this on Nero 6 as well ....

            Jmet .... BTW .... how is your 3540 holding up ? ?

Mine is starting to make a some noises, definetly not as quite as the 3520, which I've been using for months before....

But I still love those NEC's when the 3540 dies it will be replaced by a 3550 or later .....

Are you using jmet's guide? I google the error and it appears that the output is not DVD compliant.

Here is a link to jmet's guide: http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?t=61570

Nero 7 was just updated today (again).. Still too buggy for me! I use 6614 and it burns great manually.

I have the 3550 and recommend very, very, highly (Thanks to Chewy!)!

I still use Nero version 6.6.0.18 and still burn manually. I always stay about 1 version behind, so I will wait until Nero 8 comes out before I go to version 7.

Download Nero version 6.6.0.18 here: http://www.digital-digest.com/~jmet/...0.18_no_yt.exe

GaryD, AlienX is from the DD support forums. Him, cornholio7, lfcrule1972, and a few others were regulars there.

Looks like something is screwing up in the processing the original,
burned and processed hundreds and never get that error.
