    are these taiyo yudens?

I bought a 50 pk spindle of Sony accucore 8x dvd+r's from walmart (it was their only japanese made media). Using dvd Identifier, I get a code of YUDEN000 T02, but looking at VideoHelp, people are saying these discs are fake. has sony pulled off a scam or what. give me a minute and i'll post the logs from dvdIdentifier and CD-DVD speed

if it is made from Japan then it is real yuden, if made from taiwan it is still ok not as good as yuden, you can burn one at 8x and scan a quality scan, it should be 95-99 % quality

so burn these @ 8x then scan @ 4x? I burned @ 6x and scanned the same, bear with me i'm still learning yet. There are quite a few packs of these discs at 24.00 for 50 should I pick more of them up?

most disc burn 6x is not very good, either 4, 8 12 or 16 dont do 6x even it say 6x is one of the choice, all scan with light on is 4x, benq at 8x and nec at 5x that is the standard

those are the real thing, quality has slipped lately(my last batch)
you might even scan at 8x with that drive, saves time, I just scan ever now and then to make sure everything's going fine.

On the hub real ty's have a batch code

                            4x DVD-R = GD000xxx

                            8x DVD-R = GG000xxx

                            8x DVD+R = TG000xxx

                            16x DVD-R = GH000xxx

where xxx are numbers, the higher supposedly most recently made

I found this info. I have only had and used 4x and 8x TY's -R's from supermediastore and the batch codes were there.
