    Now I have about 12 fps with divx 5.0.2 and the professional options on?

    (Is it possible tp edit you own post so i don't have to make 2 anymore next time?)

      Left-click on the Edit soft button, located beside the Quote soft button...

        Could do with a comprehensive usage guide.

        I cant get certain features to work, such as sound (on certain formats)

          Much has changed for now but I use TMPEGenc for making MPEG2 and MPEG1 files now for the rest it is VirtualDubMod and dvd2avi for the dvd's.

          And indeed gordian knot rules

            I'd give flasmpeg a 5. I use a slightly modified version that rips right from the dvd right to avi. its really easy to use and is very fast I can get usually 20 to 25 fps while encoding. This is the first ripping tool I used and it is still the one I use today. I would recommend this tool over everything else
