    Very desperate

Hi I am new to this forum. I bought my first computer 2 months ago. I do not no alot about them. I wanted to start burning dvd. I have a dell dimension 31,000 with a RW cd drive. I tried all types of software, any dvd with one click, clone, and recently I am using shrink with decrypter. I am having the same problem when I watch the movie that I burn they freeze up a few seconds about 2 to 4 times during the movie in my home dvd player and also in my friends dvd players. I have tried maxwell, sony, memorex, and tayio, I have slowed my drives speed to 8x and decrypter to 4x and I tried it going faster and nothing works. I called dell to see if I had a firmware update and none is available for my drive. I do not understand how to do certain things on this computer and certain terms like I said I am very new could someone please help me and please have patience with me. I have thought that maybe my drive was not working so dell sent me a new one and nothing worked should I buy a better name brand drive? Or is it something I am doing wrong? Please help me!!!

IT could also be that the media you are using is not compatible with your player. See here http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers

Have you tried burning in safe mode? I use ImageBurn, it is free and I believe the best burning program. You may have programs running in the background. Don't give up though, you have found the right place and would suggest you follow the links above. I have learned volumes here.
