What is a good program to convert avi video files to mpeg? Also if there are any free programs because I only need to use this for a project I have to do. Thanks

along with considering the advice given by UncasMS, when you do a search look for "avi2dvd". it's free, and there is a guide for it here too. (assuming you will make a dvd)
