    Default IMGBurn's Verify

Hi folks, wondering just how reliable IMGBurn's verify function is? if it comes out OK am i guaranteed a good (readable) burn?

either the 4163B has done very well so far or i've just been ignorant, lol may be the first time i've posted in this forum

There is no one test of a burn that you can trust,
marginal burns will fail verification if the read speed gets too high in a problematic area. Your LG reads slow and very well, verification would mostly be a waste of time with good known media.

Doing a TRT with a faster drive might be a good spot check, especially of older burns.

    thanks chewy,

just needed to know, cpu was under full load, did an 8x TKD rw with nero, burn went fine, verify did not. repeated, same result. did one with imgburn, looked perfect

2 different burns?(reburned with imgburn or just verified)?

I can multitask better during burns than during any type of scan.

same iso, same media (quick erase each time), 2 burn attempts with nero, 1 with imgburn

btw it wasn't intended to be a test, i just needed to burn some dvb content and didn't want to stop an encode

    which version of nero?

problem would seem to be, can you trust the verification process during an encode process?
Burning process is much slower(especially with RW's)

just the one optical drive? no dvd-rom?

bottom line, can't trust a verification failed when multitasking
