    Burning to DVD+R

    Hi,

I'm not sure what Forum to post this on, so I'm hoping someone can help me here or redirect me to the correct forum

On my laptop I am only able to burn to DVD+R and not DVD-R. Is there anything I can do to allow burning to either + or - ?

    Thanks in advance for help.

Buy a dual format DVD burner/writer.

(I have moved your thread to the appropriate forum. )

I'm pretty sure jmet hit the nail square on the head, but what type of burner is it anyway. Is there a specific reason you want to be able to burn - media?

I was given 200 TDK DVD-R media and was hoping I didn't have to give it away and that I would be able to use it...

Unfortunatly, you would either have to give them away or buy a dual format burner.

you could always hold on to them until such a time you do have a multiformat burner, especially if it's high grade media.

I tried to check out some phillips 16x media (first time I ever saw them like that with the fancy bright active packaging) and came up empty handed Saw MIT and did not feel like rolling the dice.
