DVD to iPod Using ImTOO DVD to iPod Converter 4

ImTOO DVD to iPod Converter only accepts non-encrypted DVD files, so you first need to rip the DVD with DVD Decrypter or similar.

Once you have ripped the DVD to your hard drive, open up ImTOO DVD to iPod Converter. Now click "File", then click "Add DVD Folder..." (red) and add the folder (DVD you just ripped) (blue). [Screen Shot Below]

After ImTOO finishes loading the DVD files, it will show you all the titles that the DVD contains (green). Usually the longest running title is the main movie. To see which title is which, click the title 1 time to highlight it and then click the play button in the "preview area" (purple). In my screen shot, there are actually 2 titles with the exact same time, Title_01_01 and Title_02 . They are both the main movie but, one is full screen and one is widescreen. [Screen Shot Below]

If you really want to get technical, you can actually only select the chapters you want. All you have to do is click the "Show Chapters" button (red) to list all the chapters separately then just preview the ones you want. [Screen Shot Below]

After you decide on which chapters or titles you want, now its time to choose the "Output Format". At the bottom, to the right of the word "Profile", there is a drop down box for you to choose different types of output formats (blue). Consult your owners manual of your iPod to find out exactly which format you need. More than likely it will be 1 of the 3 .mp4 formats. [Screen Shot Below]

Next, lets tell ImTOO where to save the iPod compatible file its going to make by clicking the "Browse" button (green) and selecting a designated folder (purple) to save the files in . [Screen Shot Below]

Each time you select a different output format, all the information on the right hand side of the ImTOO main screen (red) will change. This is all important information you need to double check to make sure its compatible with your version iPod before you stick with a certain output format. Under both "Audio" and "Video" (blue) you can customize the settings to your liking or if you don't feel comfortable doing that, just leave them at their default settings. [Screen Shot Below]

Your almost done. Depending on what you are making, you need to go through the title list and de-select the titles you don't want. Since I am doing a main movie only conversion, I just want "Title_01_01". I took the check mark out of the box on the rest of the titles (green). [Screen Shot Below]

When you are ready, click "File" at the top, then click "Rip Selected" (gold). [Screen Shot Below].

When ImTOO gets finished creating the file for you, just add/drag it to iTunes library and then transfer it to your iPod. [Screen Shot Below]
