    Sorry, I did a mistake. I wasn't talking in absolute terms.

    Scans can be done also in pressed media, but in my opinon they are lesser useful because for me main purpose of scans is to check quality of a burning.

    Scan of pressed discs can be done to check their status.

    But I use scans mainly to determine if a burner is able to manage correctly a specific media and to have an idea of their durability in time. The more errors there are on a burned disc, the lesser it remain readable in time.

      It's not your english; I just recently started to really get into this burning/backup thing, & I am trying to learn a lot in a short amount of time, & it can get confusing!

      But, I can see with this that it takes a bit of learning, as well as trial & error to really understand what is going on!

      Many thanks to geno, chewy, & all you top notch guys who are taking the time to help us noobs out!
