    dma settings question

I looked at my settings on both of my computers and from reading blu's signature about dma settings It said they should both be on Ultra DMA 5. Both of them are on ultra dma 2 amd one is on multi word ultra dma 2. now I uninstalled the primary and rebooted and after rebooting again it still is on ultra dma 2. I have not tried the one on multi word ultra dma 2 yet. Now my new benq burner is on a Pci card and I believe nothing is on the secondary IDE channel on that computer.
My first burn with my benq dc dq60 I set for 8x it burned @ 1x for the majority of the burn. I tried to do a disc quality scan with it in cd-dvd speed and I got a message that the drive does not support that function. Well I am sure I'm about to learn a whole lot of things in the next while.....LET'S GO!!!
If you use these forums you will not have to face that...

I would have put the hard drives on the pci card and opticals on the motherboard, but you have to have a bootable pci card and set bios to boot to it.

Benq DQ60 is not a real benq and will not scan

blu's faq is somewhat confusing since it focuses on the hard drive

          Then what is it?
          who knows

Not as bad as your reputation.........

Oh I know that was a cheap shot, but I am just poking fun at you. No harm meant.

Seriously though, no it is not bad. That is most times normal to see DMA 5 on the primary and DMA 2 on the secodary. Support for this is found at the end of the thread posted by jamoskeag3.
