I think the lightscribe idea has gone over like a lead ballon, cause that drive was 55$ before the 1650 hit the states.

Night, how did the pic turn out though? My burner is lightscribe and I think I have several disc laying around here somewhere, but just have not got around to trying it. Was it pretty good? Did you use graphics to match the original?

Chewy, the last scan you posted makes me sick, I think you should be banned from posting any more scans.

Great burn, one day maybe I can achieve excellence. Maybe when I buy the Pioneer or the NEC.

I realize it can only do shades of grey(I believe), but what I was wondering was what image did you burn to the disc, like was it the original one just not in color.

How did the image you did burn turn out, were you happy with the results, other than the time it took.

Boy, it wasn't that long ago , we were paying 150 to 200$ for dvd burners,
4x and new 8x. Times sure have changed.

some say the 1655 burns a little better than the 1650, but they paid more for them, I can't tell any difference from scans I have seen

I had higher hopes for the new nec 3570 but it scans very inconsistently,
a few seem ok, most not tho. As always(with nec) they burn great tho
at 8x or below. I saw some 16x burns with the benq 1655 and Yuden T03,
unbelievable! New mod over at cd freaks. He knows how to use all those fancy features of the benqs.
