    Now i realized another thing...
I opened my PC and i checked that the CD-RW was without power (and i saw that it is ALREADY disconnected)... but i still see a CD (VOBIS instant drive) and a DVD (TSS CD DVDW).

I have only one drive in my PC (DVD writer): i tried to uninstall all the drives and tried to do a "new hardware detect"... and the PC find still the two drives.

I don't know what is the VOBIS instant drive, and i don't know how to remove it, but if there is a conflict i suppose it's involved in this.

    Do you think i'm wrong?

virtual drive eliminated as possible cause, good blanks, so that looks like the
burner, google had a few pople that ran a drive cleaning disk and it worked,
others it did not. Drive may be going out, or gone out.

The kicker is I do not get this error on every disk I try to burn. And I didn't start getting it until recently. Had gone a year without seeing this error. Have not changed Nero versions or anything.

                      Any idea?

Just by glancing at your log i would say to upgrade your nero to at least some version of 6.6 (6.6.0.18) preferably.

"Last possible write address on media: 2295103 (510:01.28, 4482MB)
Last address to be written: 2286103 (508:01.28, 4465MB)"

Try setting your target size to 4300mb. Burning that close to the capacity of disc can be problematic.

Try burning at 4x instead of 8x. You media is decent but when buying new media i would suggest TY or verbatim.

I was not able to locate your drive on firmware page, but i would check for driver updates on your burner.

All of this stuff is basic troubleshooting. It may not solve your problem, but has to be ruled out before you dig deeper.

good luck on finding good 8x +R media

I'd think about a new burner sooner or later

hello, I just found this thread via a search engine after having the same issues as the first poster. here are some more details to the problem and it's solution.

after going through 10 or so DVD's after failed attempts, I noticed that there was a "remaining time" timer counting down from a few minutes and when it hit 0:00, my burn quit. this timer is located (on my older version before I upgraded) in the lower window where it has the burner's status, etc. I read somewhere else that it is a build in feature that determines how fast the download will complete but I guess Nero decides to actually stop the process at that point.

Also an interesting point: I am using the TSST corp Samsung drive that seems to be having these issues....

I downloaded the latest nero package from nero.com (I was running 6.3.x.x and downloaded 6.6.x.x).

I tried another download, and I still saw the timer (in a new spot, above the total % bar) and it still had a ridiculously low number. I waited, and when it hit 0:00, the burn kept on chugging. I guess it fixed it.

There ya go. I saw that this thread was current so i thought I would pitch in my two cents!
