    Default Extreme Newbie help please

I have a laptop with a Samsung CDRW/DVD SN-324F burner, am I able to burn DVDs?? I'm really bad at this. Also, what firmware upgrade do I need from this list? http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=1649 My dvd player for my television is a Toshiba SD K620.

    Thanks

Did your laptop come w/ DVD editing/burning software installed? (NERO, Roxio, etc.) That may be the place to start.

Ohh no So I can only play dvds not burn them? If so, what is a decent (relatively inexpensive) burner that gets the job done? Thanks
