Continued problems with dvd 95copypro, and dvd shrink

    Hello everyone,

Well this is Rick again, and I am totally baffled. How is it possible that from moment to another, these 2 programs are mysteriously acting very strange. I've already tried reinstall, remove programs that might be of conflict. As I mentioned before, the only updates to my computer in the last month, was upgrade to broadband connection, and unitlize a disk recovery program called "stellar phoenix". Ironically, last week, I briefly downloaded a file sharing service for musis downloads, called "LimeWire" after installing it, I noticed that my system slowed down considerably, so I quickly removed it. Around that time frame is when the problems began. I took the liberty to include with this message a copy of the latest error log. I hope I am doing this right. I,ve already destroyed about 10 good discs (TDK, Fuji). Please, if anyone can help, let me know. Compared to most of the members of this forum, I am not as knowledgable, so please bear with me.

    Thanks,

    Rick

This is a burning issue - thread transferred to Blank Media and Burning forum.

But first get some decent media - those CMCs are just junk. Also, upgrade your Ner0 - you are many versions behind.

Read and implement the Golden Rules of Burning.

You should only use genuine Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden media. Many thanks to www.pcx.com.au for their supply and great service.

      Burning issues.

      Hello Sir,

Are you saying the TDK and FUJI are cheap brands? I dont think so. I've been using them for quite a while, with very good results. I was wondering If you had an opportunity to examine the log that I posted. Is your response based on that info? I will certaintly follow your instructions. I will keep you posted on my progress. If you have any other solutions, please let me know. Thank you very much for taking the time to read this message.

        hi rick59

you'll find that the name on the pack doesn't always depict the actual disc you buy as different manufacturers make them. it's the ID code that is important as blooie pointed out. you have CMC's . i've had great success with them too, but few have the same results and it is still considered inferior media.

          DVD copy pro saga continues.

          Hello Lt.

Thanks for responding to my desperate dilema. What are cmcs, and it is possbile for you to provide me with the address on Nero for revisions? The thing is, I still convinced, that there is a program that is conflicting with dvdcopy pro, and dvd shrink. But, I just can't seem to figure it out. Have you seen this kind of problem before? Again, thank you for your support, you guys are awesome. By the way, that was a hek of a show, back in the 70's.

          Rick

And of course I read your log Rick! The first thing I look for is crap media. Do read the Golden rules - I'm sure they will help.

And read "Media Quality" in my signature to see how the brand marketers hoodwink you into thinking you have high quality media when they have sold you a pup.

did a 2x burn usually take over an hour when it used to work or did someone add a usb2 card to that computer?

have you run a virus and trojan scan since being on limewire, preferably in safe mode?
