Several posters/regular members say they get good burns at high speeds,
please post proof, log showing time, scan showing quality? Open for other suggestions. Minimum burn time for 4300MB 8 minutes or less, pif total not to exceed 1000.

I just did a 12X burn on 8X CMC MAG EO1 media while online surfing, and running the Folding at Home Project with the CPU at 100% and can't meet your criteria....Only 4079MB in about 7 minutes and only got a QS of 93 with CD Speed .3 and had more than a 1000 pif.

I went thru 4 TYG02's before I got one, 2 tries with my nec 3550 and one with my nec 3540, I had been running into real good slow burns earlier,
I am cleaning a series off my hard drives.

I took a 4400 MB folder and made an iso with shrink then burned with new imgburn(build mode is too slow) at 12x in my benq 1650 with overspeed in advanced settings

I always burn 8x but I tried the dare just for fun. Did a 12x burn in 7 minutes with TY02, QS of 97 but the PIF went through the roof in the last gig and was well above 1000.
Same media, burner etc at 8x= QS of 99 with PIF=174

Looks to me like you will be sticking with 8X Dan.

LOL, you got that right! I am tempted to keep trying until I get it but I don't want to waste my good media and I'm not a big fan of burning above 8x at all.

I'll let the folks that like to burn fast all the time put up some stats on this one.

I'm wondering what the results would be for low grade media at 12x or 16x. You think anyone can pass the dare without using good media?

I have some old TDK collecting dust but I can't get the PIF total under 1000 burning at any speed with that junk,lol.

found a consistent combination, my 2 year old ricoh 4x dvd+r and my benq

secret to success always burn at 3 times the rated speed of the media

under 1000 is giving at 12x, non of my burner can hit 16x at all but under 1000 and 12x I can easily do it

share those results night, I know you have the burners and media for it

you ought to be able to do a 6 minute(16x) burn with your arsenal

use imgburn and advanced setting overspeed with benq and set burn speed for 16x temporary
