Download VCD on computer and won't play

I downloaded a VCD on to my computer from internet. It is in a folder on my external hard drive. I start to play the bin file with VLC Media player. It starts to play fine. The file is 1hr and 15 min. When it gets to 37 min. the move freezes and will not play the rest. I have extracted the .dat file and tried to repair but still the same problem. I used virtualdub Mp3 freeze to check video for freezes but nothing came up. How do i get video to play on computer. I do not want to burn the bin/cue file to cd. I want to play it straight off the hard drive and watch on my computer. I repeat, i only want to watch on my computer.

      Hello,
If it is something downloaded from the net it is possible it may be infected with a virus of some kind.

That is only 1 reason I wont download video from the net.
