I've noticed that on a lot of my backups When I cut the studio intros out with VB - on playback they pause usually 3-5 minutes into the movie.

The most recent (See log below):

    Version 2.1.1.0. Starting new process:

However, on some I am successful i.e. no noticable pause. I used to think it was the "Clearing STC discontinuity flag" but I've seen this with non-effected ones as well? Any thoughts on what might be the cuase of this?

More than likely a combo of the non-seamless flag and possibly a broken GOP (not being able to decode the actual frame). PLus VobBlanker has a proble wqith the timemap on cutting. Rebuild that PGC's time map with PgcEdit.

    How long is the pause?

      coupla milliseconds.

"Rebuild that PGC's time map with PgcEdit" how is this done?

Are there programs out there that can cut cleanly out there other than VB?

      thx...

        Position cursor on PGC.

Title → Rebuild time map of current PGC.

Untick the "layer break" box in the PGC. That might help with making it seamless.

Alternatively, demux and remux with muxman.
