Dvd will encode-wont burn-comp. says proper media files can now burn DVD???

Yes I'm a total computer retard. My sis and boyfriend got me into this. I've been burning dvds successfully until my system got revamped. Now every time I "backup" a movie, it says "movie has been encoded and can now be burned by the proper media"...or something like that. What does that mean and how do I fix it? I would seriously appreciate any help!! I'm sure this is something you all know how to fix

It means just what it says. The files are now ready for burning.

What programs are you using? I suspect that during your "revamp" an option for burning after encoding got switched so now the out put is going to a folder on your hard drive. You should be able to find the folder, import it to your burning program and burn manually, for those files you have done already, and for the future check the options for output files and set it to output to your Dvd drive after encoding.

Keep us posted on your progress and welcome to the forums

What burning programs do you have because if you let us know maybe we can supply you with a guide to burn manually?
