    Opening pics in IE

OK don't know why this happens.

It used to be, a few installations ago, when I clicked on an image it opened in the browser. (I mean from MSN, IRC, IE etc... not in Windows.)

Then it opened with Photo Editor, and I had no idea how to change this.

This time, it opens with QuickTime despite the fact I removed all it's associations. WHY?!

I just want IE to open them if I open them like I open a site. What must I do to accomplish this?

    Uninstall QuickTime.

Um, I kinda need quicktime to play my iTunes videos.

Can I remove just the IE plugin?

right click the image, open with-->choose program. tick the "always use this selected program..." and double click IE in the list

you could also do it through view-->folder options, delete all associations for that extension

But then when I open an image in Explorer it would open with IE? I want it just for link clicking.

Sigh, I uninstalled QuickTime for the heck of it. Now I have to either open with M$ Photo Editor or save it. Why can't the browser just open the images?

              --EDIT--

This appears to only happen in third-party apps. If I click a link IN IE it works fine but from any other program (MSN, IRC, the likes), it does that. I wonder why.

Nah, I still prefer IE. I just want pictures to be able to open in it.

Anyone know any Windows tweaks that might fix this problem? It seems only after getting SP2 that this occurs.
