    Making movies of free dl's

    Hi,

    1. I have amassed a great deal (about 1gig worth) of videos from free download sites over the past year or so.

Most of them are documentaries. They save on my PC as Windows Media Audio/video files.

I've been using Windows Movie Maker to try to assemble them together, so I can then convert them to dvd format and then encode and burn to dvd with shrink and nero.

But Windows Movie Maker is a fragile thing. It freezes often, despite my 1gig of ram and powerful PC.

    Anyway, can anyone suggest alternatives?

    2. Some of the downloaded files have very loud, distorted audio. Is there a free program I could use to 'treat' the audio and make it less blarring?

    thanks

You can use VirtualDubMod to adjust the volume of audio or save WAV. For additional audio editing, you can use Audacity which is a free, nice tool too

            If I burn these files...

            Hi,

If I burn the files in the pic I attached, with Nero, right onto a DVD, will it be playable on a normal DVD player?

            thanks

If I use a program like WINaviVideoConverter to convert avi files to DVD, will the DVD files that it makes from the avi files be able to be burnt directly to dvd by nero and then be playable on a regular dvd player?

Probably due to the fact that winavi employees frequently post on forums about winavi. If you see a post with someone recommending winavi, they usually work for them.

for all we know you are an affiliate

The commission will be 40% of product price, and, if affiliate can sell more than 100 units/month, the commission will increase to 44%, and the commission for more than 200 units/month, it will be 48%.
in my opinion something smells fishy about the frequent spammer of the forum

                        their web hosting also

sorry but around here win***avi is a dirty word

durn nero, nec and benq don't even give me free samples
                        neither does taiyo yuden

                          You're paranoid chewy.

I'm nothing to do with promoting anything. I had no idea that the product in question was such a touchy topic. Sorry all round.

Now, about those steak knives and saucepans...

HEY...I already do drink it. Are you the guy who has been putting those subliminal Coke messages in my monitor?

Wait a min before you reply...gotta run & get a Coke.
