    a clue would be whether limewire was closed when he renamed it(the file)

      Limewire was open and sharing the file for some other dad.
      Could also go into the Limewire options & select "no shared folders/files.

        Lesson #1 never install Limewire unless you know how to set it up properly.

        Lesson #2 Never have Limewire @ startup, make sure it starts when you want it to & when you close it shuts down completely.

        Lessons learned the hard way when I was just starting to do this stuff & trying to find the easy way to do things.

          I would do a good virus/spyware scan in safe mode. Who knows what may been attached to that file or other files that have been downloaded from that place. I don't trust any file from any of those p2p sites.

              Same here LT. I have helped enough friends that got infected by the old p2p that actually installed spyware during the install, but they accepted anyway,lol.
