Default Slow Burning speeds with Nero 7

Hi would anyone be able to help?

I am expericing very slow burning speeds durning Divxs/mpegs from my HD to DVD+R using the latest Nero 7 version. as a example i ve been burning 11 divx files which are about 350mb onto a 4.7g DVD+R at a speed of 16x and this takes about 1hr50 mins (have check with friends and they do it in about 20mins) i Used to get much faster speeds on my older slower pc... i have checked with other sites and fourms and have made sure DMA is ON. on all drives including HD using the Nero Info tool.I had to re-install disk drives to enable the DMA to ON.

    ie
    Primary IDE settings (1)
    Device 0
    Auto Detect
    DMA if available
    Ultra DMA mode 5

    Device 1
    Auto Detection
    DMA if available
    Not applicable

    Primary IDE Settings (2)
    Device 0
    Auto Detection
    DMA Available
    Ultra DMA mode 4

    Device 1
    Auto Detection
    DMA if available
    Ultra DMA Mode 3

I have a Lite-on DVDRW SHM - 165P63 (Burner) set to Master and it has the latest Firmware and a Lite-on Combo SOHC-5236v (CD-Rom) which is set as a Slave both on the Primary IDE.

    PC Spec....
    INTEL Pentium D 920 (2x 2.8ghz) 800mhz FSB/2 x 2MB Cache
    2MB RAM
    ASUS P5LD2 SE: DUAL DDR2, S-ATA, x16 VGA
    SATA II 160GB Hard Disk
    Microsoft Media Center XP
External 300g Maxtor Hard drive (for the stored mpegs/music/photos etc)

I am not sure where to go from here any help would be greatfully appreciated
    Many Thanks in advance.

If any more info required please ask.

it wouldn't go in because you have the entire log file here is the most recent, and you need to fix the DMA
    http://forum.digital-digest.com/show...threadid=44808

i'd also update the firmware to MSOP

looks like something's mixed up, what edition of media center?

where did the initial dma information come from?

is that a branded computer(HP, Dell, etc) or custom built?

use nero express, create a DATA dvd. the most recent log will be at the bottom, (so when you go look, you will have to scroll down to the bottom of the page) that attachment you posted has several logs in there, see the FAQ chewy gave you to see how the logs are seperated.
