    Nero Log

    Hi,

    Seem to be having more and more burning problems recently on this machine, both with quality CDR's and DVDR's.

    Can someone look at the log below for me, and see what the problem might be?

    Thanks

    I would look for any possible firmware updates from HP and try different media.

    Recorder: HP DVD Writer 640c;
    CDR code: 00 97 26 66; OSJ entry from: CMC Magnetics Corporation

    TA-Status 0x02 (0x01, SCSI_TASTATUS_CHKCOND)
    Sense Key: 0x05 (KEY_ILLEGAL_REQUEST)

    These 2 areas seem to point to the drive not liking the media, and CMC has not been know to be of good quality. Keep in mind too that even if this media worked in the past and you bought another cake of it, there could have been changes made that your drive cant handle without an update to the firmware.

    Keep us posted on your progress and welcome to the forums.
