how to rip sound from Youtube video's?

I want to write the sound from the borat clips that I find on Youtube to mp3 format

how should I obtain/capture the sound from youtube?

Go to the Volume Control, open Recording tab, under Advanced check Wave Out Mix so it shows.

Then just check Wave Out Mix to set it as your recording source. Then use any program, Audacity is a free one if you don't have one, to record it.

assuming you have the flv on your hard disk (if not see the sticky or use the search function)

download flv extract http://www.moitah.net/#FLVExtract, it'll demux streams. the audio is usually mp3 so no encoding needed
