any thing new in the last 6 months?

I have not bought media or been around this board much in the last 6 months. Now its time to buy more blank DVD media. Upon recommendation of people here I have been using Tayo Yudin 8x DVR- with hub printable face. Great media- no problems.

So the question is before I buy another stack of TY DVDs is there something that has appeared on the market in the last 6 months that is better, cheaper and double layer?

I noticed that everyone here highly recommends the Verbatim Dual Layer DVDs

the prices of DL media has significantly dropped the past few months.

also, a lot of you probably dont know this, but you may soon see outsourced Verbatim DL media. yes, that means not all Verbatim DL media will be made in Singapore. it will start with MKM 001 (the 2.4x rated) for now and they will be made by moser baer in India. how it compares to the MIS stuff is still up in the air as obviously no one owns any yet.
