I have problems burning DVD's, burns CD's perfect.

Ok so I've been having trouble burning DVD's lately. Im using Nero 6 and everytime I try to burn a DVD the buffer bar never goes up and always crashes after about a minute into the process. I've wasted 6 DVD's so far and I dont plan on wasting any more. I'm using pretty good media so I dont know what the problem is, as I've stated the burner burns CD's perfectly. Here is the Nero log.

Also I only started having problems after I installed the lastest version of Download Accelerator. I dont know if that was the cause or not, but that was the only signinficant change that I did to the computer. I have since unistalled that piece of crap but the burner still doest work.

Well I updated the firmware, not through the link you prodivded though, I went to the offical website and the drive still didnt work. I didnt set it to master drive though, cause I dont see how that would make a difference considereng how its always been my slave and it still burns CD's. Once again I tried simulating it first and everything went as planned, so I decided to burn it and once again the buffer level meter never went up and got the same error.

Is it maybe something to do with Nero's options or what?>

my directions to flash firmware come from official nec requirements

drive may be dying, but you could also try wiping nero and using their clean tool and reinstalling from scratch
