    Dvd Recorder not recognizing blank dvd media

    I insert a blank DVD into my DVD rewritable drive and when i use any program to burn to the cd, i get "no media present" or "no disc inserted". what do i do? I just updated my firmware. It's a DVDRW IDE 16X.

    I tried using Nero, ImgBurn, and Alcohol 120% to burn anything t Dvd's.
    I have tried Sony DVD-RW ad Memorex DVD+RW.

    PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Oh yah I also forgot. It has been successfully burning dvds until today.
