    Folder Properties

I hope nobody minds me asking this. When we right-click on a folder and go to Properties, what's the difference between Size and Size on disk? This is in-between Location and Contains.

The reason why I'm asking is because I copied my files from My Documents into my external hard drive as a back-up copy. Size reads the same number but Size on disk reads a different number when I compare the disk space used with both copies of My Documents when I right-clicked on the folders and went to Properties. Under Size on disk, the number was different by four digits. I know I have three hidden files in My Documents and I suspect I have another in another folder under My Documents and I wonder if those hidden files never copied and they caused the difference in the size on disk. I'm more interested is knowing the difference between Size and Size on disk.

    Many thanks.

    Darren.

See if this will help explain.
