    DVD's to AVI or MPEG4

This is all new to me, but I would like to take my DVD's and turn them into AVI or MPEG4 files. What program(s) do I need?

      welcome to the forum

AutoGK is another a lot easier than MeGUI, but far less versatile

I guess I need a hand holding reply. I do not understand anything about video. I downloaded the programs suggested but I just scratch my head trying to understand them. What I want to do, if possible, is take the DVD's I own and transfer them to my hard drive as either a AVI or MPEG4. I would like them to be one complete file. I have DVD Cloner, DVD Shrink, Alive MP4 Converter and the programs suggested. But I still don't get it. Can anyone help and hold my hand through this?

Depends what you mean by AVI or MPEG4. Probably the same thing I suspect which would be an avi containing Xvid or DivX video and mp3 or AC3 audio.

I agree, try AutoGK (there are guides should you need one).
