Audio syncing problem with 3gp Converter

    Hi,

I've searched the forum for this particular problem but to no avail. I'm currently trying to rip the individual episodes of Seinfeld, Season 7. After much trial and error I finally got past the protection using RipIt4Me, however when encoding the individual vobs to .m4v (AVC QVGA 192kbps) using 3gp converter (the Japanese one) the audio is either severely out of sync or actually non-existant. Have checked the ripped vobs and they are fine.
3gp is the only encoder I have found that didn't give audio problems in the past so this came as a surprise.
If anybody has any thoughts on a solution they would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to let Sony beat me on this one, but I've been at this for 2 days now and am about to give in.

    Programs used:

    RipIt4Me
    DVD Decrypter
    FixVTS
    DVD Shrink to re-author

I'll do my best to provide any other info required.

    Richey.

    welcome to the forum

    DVD Shrink to re-author
guessing it's an audio issue. did you remove all other audio streams during this step?

you could encode audio separately and mux afterwards with YAMB

      Thanks Anonymez

I unchecked every other audio stream except for the original 2-channel stream. Quickly learnt that a while ago when Batman came out in German .

If all else fails I could encode the audio seperately. Is it easy enought to match it up with the video afterwards?

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll give it a try just now and let you know how it goes.
